~ about ~

Congratulations to you and thank you for visiting my website!

I look forward to meeting you and finding out about your day of celebration! I love getting to know my couples throughout the experience. I truly believe in having wonderful relationships with people, so I encourage you to find a photographer with a style and personality that fit.

Being a Mid-West girl at heart, my hard work is coupled with completely having fun. Your wedding day is a time to enjoy all the exciting moments that happen along the way. Each couple has such a different dynamic and I love getting to know all types of personalities. You should be able to feel an emotional connection to your photographs for such an important day. It is all about the relationship, the camera is just an instrument.

I have always had adoration for art and filled my life with it. During the Sunday sermon you would always find me drawing when I was supposed to be listening. My Mom & Dad bought me my first professional camera for my college photography course in 1997. (Thank you!) I was in love. Countless hours were spent in the darkroom perfecting my creative ideas. I received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a Bachelor's of Science in Art Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia. What led me to a career in photography, was my time spent traveling in Europe. There is nothing better than seeing the art that you have studied for years... in person. The camera was such an amazing way to capture my adventure, giving me something I can enjoy forever. A local gallery featured my work, and I was excited to find myself selling prints. Officially hooked, I decided to enroll in the Brooks Institute of Photography of Santa Barbara, California during the spring of '04.

Wedding photography became the perfect fit for me amidst all my experience with people. I love bringing joy to people's lives and using my creative talents to capture the beauty of the day. I love events. I love projects. I love tearing up behind the lens during the ceremony and speeches. I immerse myself in the day.

Above all, my gratitude and love goes out to my friends and family who have supported and encouraged me along this exciting journey. I am extremely blessed and it has been fabulous to finally figure out... I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
